Once again, Yahoo has been breached. The latest incident, reported this week, has resulted in more than one billion Yahoo user accounts hacked.
Take aggressive steps to protect your business and assets immediately. Talk to employees about password best practices. Have them change their passwords to hard-to-guess combinations of symbols, numbers and letters—no nicknames or birthdays. Better yet, implement two-factor authentication (2FA), which requires employees to utilize one-time passwords issued by smartphone or token each time they log in.
